24/04/2007 Full House...I am not referring to the korean show... but a 1980s-1990s American comedy tv show.
It was probably the first American soap opera that I really enjoyed... It was translated into Mandarin at that time and it was so funny that I would record every episode and then replay it some days later and share it again and again with my friends.
Still remembered
Danny (Bob Saget), the daddy, who lost wife and had to raise 3 girls.
Jesse, the handsome uncle who always plays elvis.
Joey, the joke teller (a little bit like Chander in Friends).
D.J. the biggest among 3 girls, thinking herself as a adult.
Stephanie, the 2nd, innocent and lovely.
Michelle, can't talk but always make people headache.
It was really funny and sometimes sweet, even without those sex jokes that you always see in other comedy shows.
Thank youWe had a party for 5 people whose birthdays were in April. I was one of the 5.
There were so many people there, the ones that I know and the ones that I don't.
Although I didn't eat too much (later ate instant noodles at home, hahahaha), it was a great time I had... I hope all my friends there had a great time too... hmmm...
Some people got a little drunk, haha... but everything was under control, still...
Thank all of you guys for coming, especially president for the arrangement. Lucky to have him arrange everything everytime... haha...
I will update the photo section once I get the photos, haha...
cheers... 20/04/2007 電車男 Densha Otoko - TV dramaIt is never too late for an outdated person like me to talk about a 2-year-ago movie.
It has been a while since I last watched Japanese TV drama. This one is about a computer game/comic book geek who met a beautiful lady on a train and started his chasing with the encouragement of anonymous warm hearted online net pals in a forum for single men. It is a funny tv drama that people are quite overacting that make you feel like watching a Japanese comedy cartoon drama. Of course there are also scenes that are sweet and romantic - key elements of Japanese drama.
It was based on a true story that happened a few years ago, no wonder people say that art is "originated from life but above life". You may feel familiar with some scenes according to your own experience, but just not as dramatic as in the show (or it wouldn't have been called a drama, haha... :D). Last but not least, nice opening music. If you like the show, it will make you like the music more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Densha_Otoko English version
